Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting into the FP&A Manager. This is a financial insight role, responsible for producing accurate, timely and relevant management information for senior management, board and US stakeholder reporting purposes.
Main Duties:
•Supervise and manage the workload and rotation of the Finance graduate
•Ownership of the Corporate/HQ Income Statement and Balance Sheet including monthly actuals analysis, full year forecasting and annual 5YP/AOP cycles
•Lead the short range outlook reviews and process
•Lead various monthly reporting requirements including the CFO’s Ops pack
•Support the compilation and reporting of the RBI (Results-Based Incentive) metrics each month and the quarterly and annual reporting of the RBI metrics to UK leadership and to the US Corporate Group.
•Manage various quarterly reporting requirements including SJE (Significant Judgments and Events), US Tax Group returns, etc. Ad hoc analysis requests.
•Continuous focus on high quality management of large volumes of data, and therefore be able to create meaningful business information from that data, at speed
•Working with various finance systems and tools: maintenance, population and manipulation
•Ability to deputise for FP&A Manager
•Challenge, innovate and make recommendations as to how to improve processes.
Required Skills:
•Qualified Accountant
•Strong communicator with a desire for understanding the business model and providing meaningful and actionable insight. Ability to convey financial data to the layperson in an effective manner.
•Working as part of a team, with an eye for detail and drive for accuracy.
•Assumed system skills: high level of competence on excel modelling and history of demonstrable process improvement.
•Methodical, hardworking, enthusiastic and able to work well under pressure.
•FP&A background preferred.
Desired Skills:
•Cognos experience preferred .
•Likely Degree educated (ideally with a 2;1) but other qualifications considered with relevant experience.
